A Fort Wayne man implicated in a pot-growing operation was sentenced to a little more than eight years in federal prison Thursday.
Jason Edward Bridges, 33, previously pleaded guilty to a single count of possessing 100 or more marijuana plants.
Last year, he and 39-year-old Jarrod Vroom were indicted after Indiana State Police, Allen County Drug Task Force and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, along with officers with the Allen County SWAT team, raided Bridges’ home in the Lake Everett area.
Officers found a growing operation and an additional 4 pounds of marijuana, authorities said
Vroom pleaded guilty to one count of possessing 100 or more marijuana plants in March and was sentenced to five years for his role in the operation.
