The Indiana men's cross country team won its first Big Ten Championship since 1980 and broke Wisconsin's stranglehold on the event Sunday.
IU had runners finish fifth, seventh, eighth, 10th and 21st to beat the rest of the field by 15 points. The Badgers, who had won the event 15 consecutive times, finished third behind Michigan.
On the women's side, Carroll grad and redshirt senior Samantha Ginther finished seventh and earned All-Big Ten honors. The Hoosier women finished sixth as a team.
