•The Indiana Buddhist Temple, 7528 Thompson Road, will have an ordination ceremony for Cory Goldblatt to become a novice monk at 10 a.m. today. There will also be a robes offering and Pindapata. Non-food items such as over-the-counter medicines, bath towels, soaps, toothbrushes and toothpaste, socks, winter gloves, office supplies and money can be donated.

•Victory Noll Center, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington, will have the program “Wellness Practices for Self-Care,” a three-class workshop that teaches calming breath work, Tai Chi and yoga, beginning Monday. Classes are from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11 and Nov. 18 or 10 to 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12 and Nov. 19. Cost is $35. Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, 10145 Maysville Road, will have its Harvest of Talents from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 9. The festival will include specialty crafts and food.

Monson Chapel United Methodist Church, 122 Lower Huntington Road, will have a craft show and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 9. Lunch and pictures with Santa will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Special music

•The Wells Community Choir will present “A Celebration of Faith and Joy” at 7 p.m. today and 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, 202 W. Cherry St., Bluffton. The event is free but a freewill offering will be taken.

Trinity Episcopal Church, 611 W. Berry St., will present “Eternal Light: A Requiem” at 10 a.m. Sunday. The performance will be incorporated into the liturgy for All Saints Day.

Concordia Theological Seminary, 6600 N. Clinton St., will have the following free music events in the Kramer Chapel: Organ Recital by Craig J. Cramer of Notre Dame University, at 4:30 p.m. Sunday; “All Saints Choral Vespers,” Seminary Schola Cantorum, at 7:30 p.m. Sunday; “Choral Evening Prayer,” Fort Wayne Children’s Choir, at 4:30 p.m. Monday; and “Hymn Festival,” Seminary Kantorei and Chamber Choir of Concordia Lutheran High School, at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
