Tazz Langston skipped a hearing Monday morning when he was scheduled to have pleaded guilty to gun charges.
Then, on Tuesday, he skipped his trial, too. Allen Superior Court Judge Fran Gull issued a warrant for Langston’s arrest rather than allow the trial to proceed in his absence.
Langston, 28, is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, unlawful possession of a firearm by a domestic batterer, and being a habitual offender.
He was arrested in June after a shootout in the parking lot of George’s International Grocery at Broadway and Taylor Street.
Another man was critically injured, authorities said.
Langston’s wife, whom he married this month, was briefly called to the front of the courtroom by an Allen County deputy prosecutor to inquire about Langston’s whereabouts. She was not questioned, but Gull cautioned her that if she knew anything about her husband’s whereabouts, she should report it to the sheriff.
