Dismissal sought in tax evasion case against slain man

Days after he was found shot to death in front of a home in the 4900 block of East Tillman Road, federal prosecutors asked to dismiss the five-count indictment against him.

Jovon C. Harvey, 44, was killed Saturday evening, becoming Allen County’s 39th homicide victim this year. He was under a federal indictment accusing him of attempted tax evasion, three counts of failure to file tax information and a count of fraud. The death remains under investigation.
