Purdue women's basketball came in at No. 23 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll released Thursday.
The Boilermakers, who have won 66 of their last 69 games and made it to the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament last season, are one of four Big Ten teams in the top 25.
Nebraska (12th), Penn State (15th) and Michigan State (18th) also cracked the poll.
"This type of national attention and respect is great for our program," Purdue coach Sharon Versyp said. "Our kids have continually worked very hard to earn the attention of coaches across the country, and this a testament to that work. We're ready for a great season."
