Good time to be a turkey

A group of wild turkey hens walk near County Line Road north of Leo on Thursday. Once extinct in Indiana, wild turkeys have made a comeback due to efforts from various conservation groups including the National Wild Turkey Federation. Turkeys now inhabit all 92 counties of Indiana and can be seen in pockets in and around the city.
