Lady Gaga and a former personal assistant who sued her won’t face off in a trial next month after settling their differences out of court.

The settlement in a lawsuit brought by Jennifer O’Neill was revealed Monday in a court order dismissing the case. O’Neill had claimed the singer cheated her out of overtime wages when she worked for her for a few weeks in early 2009 and for 13 months beginning in February 2010.

A trial was scheduled to start Nov. 4. O’Neill had testified she was responsible for sometimes monitoring the singer’s communications and for handling about 20 bags of luggage.

Parton not hurt

Dolly Parton is home resting after being treated and released for minor injuries she suffered in a car crash she described as “a fender bender.”

Kirt Webster says Parton was already home Monday afternoon following the accident that happened shortly before noon CDT in Nashville, Tenn. Parton says in a statement that she’s “all good. Just a little tired and sore.”

Police say the 67-year-old Country Music Hall of Fame member was riding in an SUV that was hit by another vehicle. Parton and the two others were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Elle honors women

Hollywood may be cutthroat, but Elle’s Women in Hollywood celebration is all about sisterhood.

The magazine honored Reese Witherspoon, Melissa McCarthy, Marion Cotillard, Naomie Harris, Shailene Woodley, Eva Marie Saint and director Nancy Meyers at its 20th annual event Monday at the Four Seasons hotel.

All were introduced by admiring colleagues, and each shared how women had helped them succeed. Chelsea Handler said Witherspoon helped her get a movie role. McCarthy was introduced by Kathy Bates, whom she cited as an inspiration.
