K’s coach names Tuzzolino captain

– Defenseman Nick Tuzzolino was selected to captain the Komets by coach Gary Graham.

Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock and Brandon Marino are the alternate captains.

“I was really delighted with the honor,” Tuzzolino said. “In Fort Wayne, wearing the ‘C’ is such a tradition with a guy like Colin Chaulk having done it. He was here for so many years and had so many championships.”

Tuzzolino, 27, captained Utah in 2011-12 but gave up the ‘C’ because of multiple call-ups to the American Hockey League.

“I don’t know if I have a leadership style,” he said. “I’m just going to be me. That’s what got me to this point. I want to lead by example and play the way I play every single night. Am I vocal? I’m a positive guy and talk every night. But it’s pro hockey and everyone need to show up every day and do their jobs.”
