Missing Huntington boy found safe

A 16-year-old reported missing from Huntington has been found safe at the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission, the Huntington Police Department confirmed early today.

Brandon Lee Smith had been last seen at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Huntington. At that time, police did not believe he was a runaway and were concerned for his safety because he has health issues that could put him in danger.

Late Thursday evening, police had formed search parties at the local Wal-Mart. Huntington County Community School employees and approximately 150 local residents had come out to hep locate the missing youth.
