1st Design Expo begins at Coliseum

The first-ever Fall Home Design Expo will be today through Sunday at Memorial Coliseum.

Organizers say experts will offer tips on kitchens, baths, carpet, doors, windows, insulation, remodeling, room additions and related improvements through workshops and seminars.

Admission is $10 for adults, and children 12 and younger are free.

Expo times are noon to 9 p.m. today; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Indiana Wine Experience "Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Evening" will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, and the annual Taste of Home Cooking School will be at 4 p.m. Saturday. Patrons must buy separate tickets for those events, but admission allows them to attend the expo for free.
