U.S. 30 between Doyle Road and the Indiana/Ohio state line will have intermittent lane restrictions during daytime hours while crews perform microsurface construction.
The $827,000 project is scheduled to begin Monday and will continue through November, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Microsurfacing is a thin, polymer-modified asphalt emulsion mixture that provides a new wearing course over aged pavement. The treatment fills ruts in the pavement and improves friction. It takes one to two hours for the pavement to fully cure and reopen to traffic.
