You know what's awesomely splendiferous about college football?
It's played by college kids. And you never know what college kids are going to do, being college kids and all.
That's why you tuned in to see Utah upset No. 5 Stanford on Saturday, and also to see Penn State knock off Michigan in a field goal kicking contest that went four overtimes ("overtime," on the college level, basically being a synonym for "field goal kicking contest").
Best part about the latter: Penn State was coming off a 20-point loss to -- wait for it -- Indiana. Which plays Michigan in Ann Arbor on Saturday.
You know what that means, boys and girls?
No, it doesn't mean Indiana wins in the Big House. Don't be silly. It means Michigan probably turns the Hoosiers into a Big House carpet stain.
As I said: College kids.
