Lions roaring as area's lone unbeaten

Northeast Indiana's lone unbeaten team, Leo, moved up to No. 5 in the latest Associated Press football poll.

The Lions (8-0) were ranked seventh last week.

Two teams, New Haven in 4A and Churubusco in 2A, suffered their first losses of the season and fell in the poll, the Bulldogs to No. 9 (from No. 2) and the Eagles to No. 7 (from No. 3).

Snider moved up one spot to No. 6 in the 5A poll, while Wayne jumped into the 5A top 10 at No. 9.

In the 4A poll, East Noble (which beat New Haven last week) came in at No. 10.
