•Pierceton Presbyterian Church, 309 S. First St. in Pierceton, will have its annual Harvest Home Dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:30 to 7 p.m. today. Cost is $8 adults, $4 children and $5 for seniors. Carry-out is available.

•The Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend Office of Evangelization and Special Ministries will offer a “Day of Reflection for the Deaf” from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the St. Vincent de Paul Spiritual Center, 1502 E. Wallen Road. The Rev. Mike Depcik, one of only 10 deaf Catholic priests in the world, will speak and offer Mass in sign language. Cost is $20. To register, go to

Forest Park United Methodist Church, 2100 Kentucky Ave., will have its “Lunch and Learn” program, “Internet Security,” Sunday following the 10:15 a.m. worship service.

Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church, 1232 Crescent Ave., will have a Taize meditation and worship service at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Trinity Lutheran Church, 7819 Decatur Road, will have a fall rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday. A $2 bag sale will be from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 19.

•University of Saint Francis will have the lecture, “On Same-Sex Marriage,” by the Rev. Kevin C. Rhoades, bishop of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, at 7 p.m. Thursday in the North Campus auditorium, 2701 Spring St. The event is free. For information, call 399-8066.

IPFW will have its University Religious Forum “Ministry Through Music: Life as a Woman, Radio Personality and Station Manager” by Melissa Montana, chief executive officer and president of STAR 88.3 FM, at noon Thursday in Room 114 of the Walb Student Union, 2101 Coliseum Blvd. E. The event is free and lunch will be served.

Bethel United Methodist Church, 8405 Lima Road, will have a homemade soup supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Spencerville United Methodist Church, 5681 Church St., will have its annual Harvest Supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 19. A freewill offering will be accepted.

Christ’s Community Church, 10616 Liberty Mills Road, will have a Talents Into Treasures art and craft sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 19. There also will be demonstrations of wool spinning and wood carving. Proceeds benefit the Women’s Ministry team community and church projects. For information, call 436-2637.

First Wayne Street United Methodist Church, 300 E. Wayne St., will have a free concert featuring Christoph Keggenhoff, Cathedral organist at Speyer Cathedral in Germany, at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Michael Hollman will have his free annual organ recital at 3 p.m. Sunday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2313 Hanna St. A reception will follow.

First Wayne Street United Methodist Church, 300 E. Wayne St., will have its “Wednesdays on Wayne Street” featuring pianist Hamilton Tescarollo at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday. A luncheon follows for $5.

•Chaplain Rear Adm. Daniel L. Gard of Fort Wayne was assigned as the deputy chief of chaplains for reserve matters for the Navy Chaplain Corps. He assumed his duties Sept. 23.
