Carroll girls in sectional finals

Carroll won five straight girls soccer sectional titles from 2006-2010, but hasn't got a championship since.

And none of the previous titles came in the three-year-old class soccer tournament.

The Chargers put themselves in position to change that with a 1-0 overtime win against Bishop Dwenger in the Carroll Class 2A sectional semifinals Thursday.

Carroll, which also won sectional titles in 1998, 2000 and 2001, will play in the championship game at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
