Italian partsmaker to add warehouse, 35 jobs in Fort Wayne

An Italian manufacturer is investing $1.1 million in setting up a Fort Wayne operation, which is expected to create 35 jobs by 2016.

Coram USA LLC, a subsidiary of Italy-based Coram Group, now has a sales office downtown.

The company will lease, renovate and equip a 20,000-square-foot building at 6911 Innovation Blvd. The operation will make and distribute steering columns. Plans call for production to begin by the end of the year.

Coram USA supplies the commercial vehicle, agricultural, construction and wind turbine industries.
