Jury acquits man of sex with minor

An Allen Superior Court jury acquitted a Huntertown man of crimes accusing him of having sex with a 16-year-old on multiple occasions.

Tyne McClendon, 36, was charged in January with three counts of child seduction, accusing him of having sex with a teenage girl known to him.

The girl told police McClendon would take her shopping after each encounter, according to court documents.

But in an interview with police, McClendon denied having sex with the girl.

After a two-day trial this week in Allen Superior Court, the jury found McClendon not guilty of all the charges against him.
