•John Morrow, an associate professor of Spanish and French at Ivy Tech Community College Northeast, has published his book, “The Covenants of the Prophet Muhammad with the Christians of the World.” The book is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble’s website.

•Silvan L. Krel, a Fort Wayne CPA, has published his first book, “All the Reasons I Love Accounting.” It is available at

CONTESTS: Creative Communication is sponsoring a free essay, poetry and art contest for kindergarten through Grade 12. Essay entries must be received by Oct. 15, artwork by Dec. 3 and poems are due by Dec. 5. To enter online, go to

PROGRAM RECEIVES GRANT: Artlink Gallery, 300 E. Main St., has announced that its Teen Art Club program at Shawnee Middle School has been awarded a grant from Target Corp. This will allow 24 students to participate in the program for no cost after school.

RADIO STATION SYNDICATED: “The Craig and Sam Radio Show” has launched into syndication. The show will air from 5:30 to 9 a.m. on 106.9 WXXC-FM in Marion and from 3 to 6 p.m. on Classic Rock Internet Radio.

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS: The Civic Theatre is looking for volunteers for the upcoming production of “9 to 5: The Musical.” Volunteers are needed to work backstage running crew, fly rail and as spotlight operators. Dates are from Nov. 2 to 24. For information, email
