Woman killed in Monday I-69 crash is ID'd

FORT WAYNE – A northeast Indiana woman killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 69 Monday afternoon has been identified.

Judy E. Fisher, 69, of Pleasant Lake, was alone in the car when it flipped down an embankment, according to a statement issued Tuesday by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

The crash occurred about 2 p.m. at the 321.5-mile marker, near the Allen County-DeKalb County border, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.

Witnesses told police a gray car began driving erratically in the southbound lanes.

The car crossed into the left lane and then veered off the west side of the highway, rolling several times before coming to rest on its top at the bottom of a ditch.

Fisher was wearing a seat belt.

The coroner’s office said the investigation continues. Her death was the 25th traffic fatality in the county during 2013.
