New Haven sets mosquito spraying

Statement as issued Monday by the city:

New Haven, Indiana – The City of New Haven will spray for mosquitoes (weather permitting) throughout the New Haven area on the following date(s):

Wednesday, October 2nd beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Spray areas will consist of a one-half mile radius around Elk Grove Court in Valley Creek Subdivision in the City of New Haven

“To alleviate any concerns during this spraying period, we are asking residents to remain indoors while the spray crew is in your area.” Mayor McDonald said.

If you don’t want the trucks to spray in front of your house, please contact the Utility Department at 748-7056 before 4:00 p.m. the day of spraying.

If mosquito spraying is canceled due to rain or excessive wind, spraying will be backed up one day at a time.

Any other future dates regarding mosquito spraying will also be announced.
