IU releases Hoosier Hysteria details

Indiana Athletics released details for its season-opening basketball showcase, Hoosier Hysteria, which will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 4.

Assembly Hall will open its doors to the public at 5 p.m., and starting at 2 p.m., a fan center with a disc jockey, concessions and video board will open on the south side of the building. The women's basketball team will have an open practice from 5:30-6:30 p.m., as well.

Player introductions for the men's team will begin at 7:30 p.m., and the showcase will feature a 3-point shooting contest, dunk contest and a scrimmage. Fans and students will also get involved with contests during breaks for the team.

Players will sign autographs for fans for one hour after Hoosier Hysteria. Each fan can bring one item, and those who don't have a personalized item to bring will be given a free autograph card.

Season calendars will also be on sale at the IU Varsity Shop before, during and after the festivities.
