Bellmont hitting stride?

The Bellmont volleyball team's convincing 3-0 win over Carroll on Thursday could be a huge confidence-builder for the Class 3A No. 3 Braves.

Bellmont (19-4, 3-0) beat Carroll (15-3, 2-1) 25-15, 25-11, 25-21 to gain control of the NHC with what could become the signature win that propels the Braves, who won the 2007 and 2010 3A state titles, to postseason success.

"We play like that, there's not a lot of teams who can hang with us," senior setter Bailee Hankenson said.
