Black Pine Animal Sanctuary hosts charity beer tasting

Black Pine Animal Sanctuary is hosting its seventh annual beer tasting and pulled pork dinner Oct. 5.

Lions & Tigers and Beer, Black Pine! will be 6 to 9 p.m. at the sanctuary, 1426 W. 300 N. in Albion. There will be a variety of beer samples, music provided by DJ TKO, and a silent auction while touring the sanctuary to observe nearly 100 animals, and talking with their keepers. A fresh roasted pulled pork dinner will also be served.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. To buy tickets, go to, call 260-636-7383 or at the sanctuary between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Attendees must be at least 21 years old. The event will be outdoors, rain or shine, and some shelter from inclement weather will be available. In the event of chilly temperatures, a bonfire will be lit.
