Ohio Turnpike stop nets $2 million in cocaine, heroin

PERRYSBURG, Ohio – State troopers say they discovered $2 million worth of cocaine and heroin during a traffic stop on the Ohio Turnpike.

Two California men are now facing possession and trafficking charges after the stop near Toledo.

The State Highway Patrol says troopers stopped a semi the men were riding in Monday.

Troopers said a drug-sniffing canine alerted them to the drugs found in the cab of the truck.

Troopers said they found 42 pounds of cocaine and 2 pounds of heroin.
