Hoosiers' Troy Williams out with hand injury

Indiana freshman forward Troy Williams will be out for a few weeks with a hand injury, the IU athletics department announced Monday.

Williams, a 6-foot-7 swingman, injured his right hand in a workout. He is a consensus top-70 player in his recruiting class. The wing player, whose athleticism made him a favorite in the Hoosier Hysteria dunk contest Oct. 4 at Assembly Hall, should not be gone for too long, IU coach Tom Crean said in a statement.

"Troy has been rising in all areas of his game," Crean said in the statement. "While this is a setback, it is a minor one in the scheme of things."
