College football preview: Concordia (Wis.) at Trine

Scouting report: The Trine home opener was closing time for Elmhurst (Ill.) last week. Trailing 7-6 after three quarters, Trine scored 10 points in the fourth to upend No. 21 Elmhurst 16-7. Tyler Keck kicked field goals of 34, 24 and 20 yards; Richard Gunn scored on a 15-yard run; and the Trine defense limited Elmhurst to 238 yards, 4.1 yards per play and 3 of 13 on third-down conversions. Now the Thunder get Concordia, a team that beat it 13-10 last year. Concordia is coming off a 20-10 win over Macalester College last week. The Falcons are averaging 364 yards and are led by quarterback Austin Damaschke, who has passed for 371 yards and ran for 153 in two games and is completing 66.7 percent of his passes (42 of 63).
