Istep+ Results

The following pages break down the percentage of Allen County students who passed the ISTEP+ exam in 2013. Results are provided for public and private schools.

The Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus was administered this spring to test students' knowledge of English and math. Fourth- and sixth-graders were also tested in science and fifth- and seventh-graders in social studies, although those results have not been released.

The Journal Gazette determined the state rankings based on the percentage of students who passed both English and math tests.

The Indiana Department of Education did not provide data for schools if fewer than 10 students were tested. The grades and the number of public schools ranked this year: third (1,053); fourth (1,045); fifth (961); sixth (671); seventh (487); eighth (480).

The grades and the number of private schools ranked this year: third (220); fourth (215); fifth (209); sixth (201); seventh (183); eighth (177).
