The Fort Wayne TinCaps marketing and promotions staff earned the Midwest League's Larry MacPhail Promotional Award today.
The award is given to a MWL organization that "demonstrated outstanding and creative marketing and promotional efforts within its community, its ballpark (including non-game day events), in media and other promotional materials," according to a release.
"This honor is a reflection of the hard work put in by our staff to create a unique and memorable experience for each of our fans every time they pass through the gates at Parkview Field," TinCaps Vice President of Marketing and Promotions Michael Limmer said. "With at least 70 home dates each season, we strive to make each ballgame different from the one that preceded it."
Fort Wayne drew a single-season record attendance of 410,459 this year and has had at least 375,000 fans through the gates each season since moving to Parkview Field.
TinCaps marketing and promotions also won the Larry MacPhail Promotional Award in 2009 and 2010.
