Pete needs a home

Pete is a 4 1/2-year-old neutered grey and white domestic short hair kitty.

“Hi, I’m Pete, and I am hoping you’ll help me with a career change.

“See, right now I’m the assistant office manager of the Allen County SPCA. It’s really nice of the shelter people to give me this job, and usually cats are great at office management. But here’s the thing: I’m shy. And people are always coming in and out of the office, and while I do like humans one-on-one, in big groups you’re kind of … tall. That’s it. Tall.

“So I would like you to consider me for your home. What I REALLY long to be: A housecat. A sunbeam-napping, can-opener alerting, being-adored housecat.

“Can you help by considering adding me to YOUR family? And did I mention that I am only $10?”

He is available for adoption at the Allen County SPCA, 4914 Hanna St.

The shelter is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
