RICHMOND, Ind. – Two teenagers have been sentenced to 40 years or more in prison for roles in the slaying of an eastern Indiana man who authorities said was stabbed and shot during a drug-money robbery.
A Wayne County judge on Thursday ordered a 45-year sentence for Montell Westfall, 18. and a 40-year term for Matthew Allen, 19. Both pleaded guilty in the March 2012 killing of Michael Sekse, 48. of Richmond.
The Palladium-Item reported (http://pinews.co/1enDMBA) they admitted to conspiring with three others to attack Sekse and take the $11,250 he’d agreed to pay for 15 pounds of marijuana.
Prosecutor Mike Shipman said Allen and Westfall were the youngest and least culpable of those involved.
One defendant was sentenced to 90 years in prison. Cases against two others are pending in court.
