Spartans girls best Bulldogs on links

Courtney DelaCuesta and Alyssa Hoffman both shot 2-over 38s at Whispering Creek Golf Club, leading Homestead to a 160-203 victory over New Haven on Tuesday.

Annie Butchko posted a 41 and Kira Hoffman added a 43 in New Haven.

The Bulldogs’ Kori Thompson also shot a 43.

BELLMONT 188, EAST NOBLE 196: In Kendallville, Morgan Ellsworth led Bellmont with a 6-over 42 at Cobblestone Golf Course.

Boys soccer

DEKALB 16, COLUMBIA CITY 0: In Waterloo, Brennan Cochran had five goals and Landon Cochran had three. Grant Lockwood had two goals and four assists.

WEST NOBLE 11, CENTRAL NOBLE 0: Uriel Macias and Chris Najera both scored three times, and Uriel A. Macias had two goals in Ligonier.
