More details on Donnelly’s downtown office

Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., has released more details about his new downtown Fort Wayne office, which will open Friday.

The office is on the seventh floor, in Suite 702 B, of the recently renovated Anthony Wayne Building, 203 E. Berry St. The telephone number is 260-420-4955, and the fax number is 260-420-4930.

Office hours for the public will be by appointment. Jorge Ortiz, northeast regional director for Donnelly, will be the lone staff member in the office.

Ortiz “will spend the vast majority of his time meeting with Hoosiers across northeastern Indiana and will be in and out of the office,” Elizabeth Shappell, communications director for Donnelly, said Tuesday in an email.

Metered street parking is available near the Anthony Wayne Building, which is across Berry Street from Citizens Square and across Clinton Street from the Allen County Courthouse.

The office will have an open house from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday.

Donnelly, a first-year senator who spent six years in the U.S. House, is also opening offices this week in Hammond, Jeffersonville and Evansville. He has existing offices in Indianapolis, South Bend and Washington, D.C.
