Trinity English Lutheran Church, 405 W. Wayne St., will have an evening prayer service at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Grace Lutheran Church in Columbia City will have its Food Pantry Fish Fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 14. The cost is $8.50 adults, $4 for children ages 6 to 12, and children ages 5 and younger are free.

St. Joseph United Methodist Church, 6004 Reed Road, will celebrate its 150th anniversary with a re-enactment of walking from the church’s old location to its new location at 10 a.m. Sunday. The church will also have a concert series at 5:30 p.m. today, Sept. 14, 21 and 27. On Sept. 29, the church will have a picnic at its Praise Park about 12:45 p.m.

First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne St., will host a program by Andrew Spath of the Indiana Center for Middle East Peace at 7 p.m. Monday. The program is free.

Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church, 1232 Crescent Ave., will have a Taize meditation and worship service at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Forest Park United Methodist Church, 2100 Kentucky Ave., will have a “Lunch and Learn” program after its worship service Sunday.

St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 7308 St. Joe Road, will begin its Sunday school classes at 10:15 a.m. Sunday for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

North Manchester United Methodist Church in North Manchester will have a tent revival at 6 p.m. from Sunday to Wednesday at the corner of Sycamore and Second streets.

The Brigade of Light, 6722 E. State Blvd., will host workshop leader Mark Schoofs from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. A freewill offering of $20 to $40 is suggested.

IPFW, 2101 Coliseum Blvd. E., will host its first University Religious Forum from noon to 1:15 p.m. Thursday in Walb Student Union, Rooms 222 to 226. Rod Ovitt, director of Logos Institute of Biblical Studies in Fort Wayne, will give the free lecture, “Cognitive Theology: Thinking About God from the Inside Out.” The forum series is held monthly.

•The Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedheim, in Decatur will host the Purdue Varsity Glee Club at its 9 a.m. service and 3 p.m. Sept. 15 at Bellmont High School in Decatur. Cost for the afternoon concert is $15 reserved and $10 general admission. Tickets are available at or by emailing

North Park Community Church, 7160 Flutter Road, will host the Captivating Keyboards, featuring Scott Griffin and Alan Tripp, at 6 p.m. Sunday. The concert is free, but a freewill offering will be taken.

First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne St., will host family entertainer Jim Gill at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. A freewill offering is suggested.

•Trinity English Lutheran Church, 405 W. Wayne St., will have its “Fridays in September” from 12:10 to 12:40 p.m. Friday in the Krauss Chapel. Jaenicke Consort Woodwind Quintet will perform. A $2 lunch will follow the concert.
