Not all questions answered at Obamacare meeting

Attending the “Where Does Indiana Stand on the Affordable Care Act?” town hall meeting on Aug. 29, I was looking forward to a two-sided debate about the negatives and positives of Obamacare. But when invited guests were introduced, I discovered all on the panel were supporters. Nary a single voice of opposition was to be heard. Nor were critical audience questions tolerated. Rather than allowing individuals to come to the microphone to ask questions, we had to write our questions, which were screened. One courageous man shouted out a question, wanting the truth addressed, but sadly, it wasn’t. The questions I wanted answered were:

•Is it true that the IRS is hiring convicted felons to gather, as navigators, Social Security numbers, birth dates, full names and mother’s maiden name, financial records, etc. (opportunity for ID theft and voter registration fraud)?

•When will the Independent Payment Advisory Board be reinstated?

•Will Obamacare participants be required to receive a computer chip in their body?

•Can people be jailed if they don’t sign up or pay the fine?

Sadly, this turned into an evening of “this is where to sign up for Obamacare.”
