  • Tryout information
    The Mad Ants will hold an open tryout from 2 to 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Quest Multisport Complex in Chicago.
  • Howard not sure on return to Mad Ants this season
    Howard has had some interest from NBA teams – that's nothing new, though Howard has never made a regular-season roster – and is again fielding offers from teams in Europe.
  • Ants will look different
    When the Mad Ants open defense of their D-League championship this season, the roster will likely look very different.

Mad Ants release schedule

The Mad Ants will tip off their seventh season in the NBA Development League at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 when they travel to Frisco, Texas, to play the Texas Legends.

The Mad Ants’ home opener will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 when they play host to the Maine Red Claws at Memorial Coliseum.

The Mad Ants-Legends contest is the first of 50 regular season games for the Mad Ants. The schedule includes 24 homes games, 17 of which are weekend games.

The NBA D-League Showcase will, again, take place in Reno, Nevada, from Jan. 5-9. In addition to the NBA D-League Showcase, the NBA D-League All-Star Game is scheduled for February 15 in New Orleans.

The NBA D-League will feature three divisions, East, West, and Central, for the 2013-14 season.

The East division will consist of the Canton Charge, Delaware 87ers, Erie BayHawks, the Mad Ants, Maine Red Claws and Springfield Armor.

The Central Division includes the Iowa Energy, Sioux Falls Skyforce, Tulsa 66ers, Austin Toros, Texas Legends and Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

The West Division will be made up of the Idaho Stampede, Reno Bighorns, Bakersfield Jam, Los Angeles D-Fenders, and Santa Cruz Warriors.
