Braves on the go

Some of Bellmont's best girls cross country runners were doing some more running even after Tuesday's Bi-County Conditioner was finished.

The Braves won the workout-type meet and then ran off to play some soccer at Norwell, or at least four of them did - Bailey Beery, Emily Gunsett, Amberly Gutierrez and Bailey Christlieb.

"They really work hard," Bellmont coach Carl Risch said. "They are good in school and good in both sports."

The four are among the top six runners for Bellmont.

The soccer players/cross country runners had missed the first two cross country meets of the season before making their season debuts Tuesday.

"They did pretty well, and I think they will be all right," Risch said.
