Group to explain health care law

Organizing for Action volunteers said they will hold a news conference today to highlight the benefits of the Affordable Care Act.

The news conference will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at American Legion Post 148, 705 E. Lewis St.

“OFA volunteers will make sure their neighbors know the truth: millions of Americans just like them are already benefiting from the law, and millions more stand to benefit with enrollment starting Oct. 1,” the nonprofit group said Friday in a news release.

The release said the news conference will also highlight the dangers of opponents’ politically motivated misinformation campaign.
