TinCaps blanked by Whitecaps

The TinCaps were blanked on the road 2-0 by the West Michigan Whitecaps on Thursday in Comstock Park, Michigan.

Fort Wayne (69-66, 26-40 second half) got only three hits against four West Michigan (68-67, 35-30) pitchers.

Montreal Robertson (3-7) got the win after going 5 2/3 innings and giving up three hits.

West Michigan scored both its runs in the fourth inning.

TinCaps right-hander Bryan Rodriguez got the start after being reinstated from the disabled list earlier in the day. Rodriguez (2-8) took the loss after giving up seven hits and two runs (one earned) in six innings. He walked four and struck out five. To make room for Rodriguez, pitcher Josh Richardson was placed on the disabled list.
