Gagnon rights sent to Stockton for future considerations

The Komets have sent the ECHL contract rights to defenseman Mathieu Gagnon to the Stockton Thunder for future considerations, the Thunder has announced.

Gagnon, 20, played six games in Fort wayne last season, with an assist and 22 penalty minutes, the Thunder said in a statement.

Gagnon agreed to terms earlier this month on a minor league two-way contract with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL, the statement said. Bridgeport is the AHL affiliate of the Thunder and the New York Islanders.
