Soccer team loses to Buckeyes

The IPFW men's soccer team fell 2-0 to Ohio State in its exhibition opener Tuesday in Columbus, Ohio.

Freshman goalkeeper Raphael Kotzock picked up eight saves as the Buckeyes peppered IPFW with 11 shots in the opening 45 minutes.

Alex Bujenovic and Max Moller scored.

After being outshot 11-3 in the opening half, IPFW fought back and took five shots in the second half.

Sophomore Austin West took three shots for the Mastodons, two of which were on goal.

Ohio State's Andrian McAdams picked up the shutout victory, stopping five shots.

The Mastodons return to action Saturday, when they play host to the Valparaiso Crusaders at 5 p.m. in the Shindigz National Soccer Festival at the Hefner Soccer Complex.
