Bring back memories?

Does this bring back some memories or what? The great Joe Franke night of 2002, which propelled the Komets to a UHL title.

I must say, one of the greatest questions I ever asked was when I asked Joe what his pregame meal was, and he told me he was downing Hot Dogs and Mountain Dews during the game.

That nugget made it onto ESPN, NPR, lots of stuff.

Anyway, a terrific night for Komets fans, no?

  • I've had a few people ask if the Komets will give a tryout to Decatur-native Cody Hess, who played professionally in Europe. The folks with the Komets told me, basically, they don't feel he's an ECHL caliber talent at this point. So, no.
