'Caps commit 7 errors in loss to Loons

Great Lakes catcher Jake Capellan tied a single-game franchise high with six RBI, and Fort Wayne committed a season-worst seven errors en route to a 12-5 loss Monday at Dow Diamond in Midland, Mich.

The TinCaps (64-61, 21-35 second half) got three RBI from first baseman Diego Goris, including a home run in the fourth inning during a 3-for-4 day, but could not overcome their mistakes.

Fort Wayne gave up seven unearned runs in the loss to the Loons (59-67, 32-24). The seven errors beat a previous worst of six errors in a 6-4 loss to Bowling Green on Aug. 15 at Parkview Field.
