CHEERS to Aaron Hoover Real Estate, LLC. Since 2011 his organization has donated a percentage of the commission from each home sale to Erin’s House for Grieving Children. This is proof that a little good goes a long way. Thank you for helping us to heal hearts.

CHEERS to the generous, anonymous donor who sponsored the free Philharmonic summer concerts at Foellinger Theatre. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety and talented artists.
JUDITH WAGONER Fort Wayne
CHEERS to off-duty Allen County Sheriff’s Department officer Joseph Cox. On Aug. 5, I experienced a flat tire on Moeller Road. While trying to figure out how to get the spare tire out from under my pickup truck, Cox rolled up and offered his assistance. A big thank you to him for going above and beyond the call of duty.
TONY MILLER Fort Wayne
CHEERS to the woman at the West Jefferson Boulevard IHOP on Aug. 11 who found my diamond ring on the ground in the parking lot next to my van. She came back into the restaurant and walked around to all the tables until she found the owner. I was too overcome with emotion to tell her it was the engagement ring given to me by my husband who passed away 4 1/2 years ago. It was truly irreplaceable. Be assured that I will pass it forward many times over.
DENISE STRUNK Fort Wayne
CHEERS to the TinCaps for graciously providing residents at Chase Manor Apartments with tickets for the Aug. 6 game. For many who attended, it was their first time ever at the stadium or seeing a professional ball game. The kids enjoyed the bounce houses, rock climbing and the treats the ballpark offers. Chase Manor owners and staff would especially like to thank the young man in the administrative office who acted quickly and kindly by providing us with the wonderful lawn seats. We all thought we had the best seats in the house. The TinCaps have many new fans as a result of the kindness shown to us. And just as importantly, we got to see our team win!
LIBBY KELLER Office manager Chase Manor Apartments
CHEERS to all the singers who made the 2013 Choralfest Concert a success. More than 250 singers from the Fort Wayne, Whitley Community and DeKalb Community Children’s choirs joined together to present A Salute to Broadway and the American Folk Song on Aug. 9 at Foellinger Outdoor Theatre. The concert was superb. CHEERS to our sponsor, IPFW’s Community Arts Academy; to our presenting concert partner, Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department; to the volunteers and staff who gave numerous hours to make this a reality, as well as the community partners: Community Transportation Network, Whitley County Transit, and Unity Performing Arts Foundation, which assisted with transporting our singers from the outlying areas of the region. And CHEERS to the great audience that appreciated and supported the talent and commitment of the seven ensembles. These young musicians are remarkable. It’s an honor to work for them.
