Area man named in child porn case

A 36-year-old Kendallville man faces a federal child pornography indictment and is in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.

Phillip Biddle is accused of possessing one or more pieces of child pornography in June 2012. The indictment was handed up by a federal grand jury in Fort Wayne in June, but it was unsealed this week upon his arrest.

The case developed as a result of an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

As part of the indictment, the government seeks the forfeiture of a computer and a hard drive.
