Indianapolis boys break Guinness 'stick bomb' record

INDIANAPOLIS – Two Indianapolis youths have earned a spot in the Guinness World Record book by using the most craft sticks to produce a chain reaction known as a "stick bomb"

Andre Jefferson and Miles Parnell had 6,900 sticks complete the chain reaction. That tops the record of 3,864 sticks set by a Minnesota man.

Participants hoping to qualify for a world record must complete an application and have an attempt that is measurable and verified by a witness. Verification can take more than a year.

Eleven-year-old Andre and 14-year-old Miles made their attempt on March 24, 2012.

Andre tells The Indianapolis Star (http://indy.st/147akWw) he's now developing a stick bomb kit to sell on the Etsy website.
