The TinCaps dropped their fourth straight game 7-6 to the Dayton Dragons Saturday in front of 8,009 fans at Parkview Field.
Fort Wayne (60-57, 17-31 second half) got swept in South Bend the previous three days. It's the third time this year the TinCaps have been swept by the Silver Hawks.
It didn't go any better against the Dragons, despite a late rally by the TinCaps.
Dayton (55-63, 27-22 second half) scored five runs on seven hits in the fifth inning to rally from a two-run deficit.
The Dragons had five straight hits in the inning to chase starter Walker Weickel, who gave up 11 hits and seven earned runs in 4 2/3 innings.
Rodney Daal had a long solo home run to left, and Gabriel Quintana had an RBI sacrifice fly in the ninth to cut the deficit to 7-6.
The TinCaps scored four runs in the second inning to take a 4-2 lead. Mallex Smith and Daal had RBI singles.
Making his debut with the TinCaps, San Diego Padres' first-round draft pick Hunter Renfroe was 2 for 4 with a single, double and an RBI walk.
