None harmed in vacant house blaze

Firefighters extinguished a blaze early Friday at a vacant house under renovation in south Fort Wayne, according to the city fire department.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m., fire crews were sent to 312 E. Masterson Ave. between South Clinton and Lafayette streets. They found the front of the two-story house on fire, the department said.

The blaze was under control in 16 minutes. No one was in the house, and no injuries were reported. Fire officials described the damage as moderate. The cause was under investigation.
