Fish tale upended by meth lab arrest

Warsaw police officers followed up on a tip Monday about an active meth lab, and all they found was a man walking with a fishing pole and bucket. But they said the bucket had something inside that wasn’t fish.

Narcotics officers got the tip about 5 p.m. Monday and went to a home in the 3700 block of West Old Road 30 on the west side of Warsaw. They didn’t find anyone at home where they were sent but soon saw Jacob P. Miller, who had been named in the tip.

Police said Miller, 40, was in the process of making meth in the bucket. He was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. No bond was set.
