Because of a reporting error, an earlier version of this story misidentified the driver who suffered injuries. Robert Connet was the driver who was injured.

Fort Wayne man injured in roll-over wreck near LaOtto

A 52-year-old Fort Wayne man suffered multiple injuries when he was thrown from his vehicle Thursday in DeKalb County.

Robert Connet was traveling north on Indiana 3 about 5:15 p.m. when his 2002 Chevrolet pickup collided with a 1998 Dodge Dakota at County Road 62, sheriff's Deputy Aaron Long said in a written release.

Nichole Stoddard, 20, of LaOtto, was driving the Dodge east on County Road 62, Long said.

Stoddard was crossing Indiana 3 when her Dodge struck the driver's side of the truck, he said.

The impact forced the pickup off the road and caused it to roll into a ditch, Long said.

Connet suffered multiple cuts, fractured ribs and internal bleeding, he said.
